Well, we've been in the new academy for just over a month now, and as you can see it is going from strength to strength!
We now have a large matted martial arts area, a seperate Samurai Sam area, a boxing area and a fully equipped gym, as well as a reception and waiting area. There's still a lot of room for improvement, but I think you'll agree that it's already a huge improvement on the previous place.
We recently held a Powerlifting Seminar this last weekend, with guest instructor, World Powerlifting Champion Phil Beniston. It was a brilliant seminar enjoyed by all, and I was really impressed with the turn out. Thanks for supporting! As it was such a success, East Coast Martial Arts are now running a weekly Powerlifting Club, which will be held every Saturday 1:00-2:00pm. Ideal for people who want to pursue a competitive career in powerlifting, or simply for those wanting to improve on muscular strength and build.
There will be a small charge for the session, which will then go toward paying for Phil to come over once a month for a training session.
Finally, a few members of Team Courage are off to San Marino this month for the IAKSA World Championships. We have Senior Instructor Adam Rocky Beniston competing in Semi Contact Points Fighting and Korean Patterns, Tom Rankin will compete in Semi Contact Points and Korean Patterns, and Rocco D'Ambrosio will compete in Semi Contact Points, Light Continuous, and Korean Patterns.
They leave on Thursday 19th May, so wish them Good Luck!
